Artist Bio

Although he is mostly known for his work with The Rachels out of Houston, TX, Steven Garcia collaborates with Love Sick Dog Publishing for several singles due out in 2012.

Eventhough Steven still plans to record and tour with The Rachels in 2012, he still found time to record three singles for LSDP; Will You or Won't You, Quasimodo, and You Don't Know What You Do To Me. All three songs will be released through itunes in 2012. No tour dates have been set to support the new singles but there may be a few shows in the up coming weeks.

Steven and The Rachels are also re-recording some of their past CDs and may release a compliation CD in 2012.

Steven started his partnership with LSDP after completing The Rachels' fourth CD "No Love Here" in 2006. Steven ventured out on his own to record a total of six singles for LSDP. The first of single was the ballad "You'll Never Know" (2006) which was a departure from the Rock/Reggae/Ska sound of The Rachels. On the second single "I Can't Live Without You" (2010), Steve goes back to a heavier rock sound. With the third single "The Ballad of the Working Man" (2010) Steve offers a pop sound with a wit that has reoccurred throughout his career with The Rachels.

Steven has worked closely with songwriter Jason Greene and Clay Walker. He was also signed to Clay Walker's publishing company. Over his career with The Rachels, Steven has sold over 12,000 CDs. Steven and The Rachels are also featured on the motion picture soundtrack to the film "Noble Things".

Eventhough Steven is currently touring Northern Houston with weekly shows under the band name "Not The Rachels", he was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX and is excited to return to play local shows.
