Kitty and the Lost Boys
Kitty and Jess debuted on the music scene at the tender ages of 5 and 7. They have hazy memories of Friday Nights spent in a rock club hosted by Blind Johnny mean rhythm guitarist and songwriter, in the basement of an Indian restaurant. They performed alongside a menagerie of characters that the underground club attracted and this, coupled with the laissez faire attitude of their bohemian parents, gave them a respectable Rock n Roll upbringing.
Kitty had to stand on a chair to reach the microphone to begin with but that didn't stop her. The years rolled on and the tribe travelled to foreign fields.
At the age of 11 Jess was drumming in a 3 piece rock band fronted by professional musicians in Andalucia, Spain. Kitty spent this time growing and strumming her guitar at various open mic's. Many years and plenty of experience later Kitty not only fronts The Lost Boys but is a highly competent bass player and guitarist and also writes her own material. Jess in turn excels on drums, keyboards and lead guitar.
They've caught the attention of various top industry names including Mike Chapman who created hit records for such artists as Sweet and Suzi Quatro as well as producing 'Parallel Lines'; the breakthrough album for Blondie (one of the Kitty and The Lost Boys' major influences). Mike kindly remixed one of the band's singles "It's Not OK" at his studio in Australia.

247 MAGAZINE Nov 2010:
"This female fronted troupe describe themselves as being from 'deepest, darkest Devon' and I'm sure there are darker things in Devon, but they certainly wouldn't be out of place in an 80s Brat Pack or 90s US teen vampire flick. Upbeat and energetic this sound is clearly influenced by some of those 80s greats, Cyndi Lauper & Blondie, though the sound isn't dissimilar to those 90s Britpop female fronted bands, Echobelly & Lush. Apologies for the reliance on comparison to female fronted bands but there's just no escaping it. The best place to hear this music would be in some bare brick walled underground pub with a cider & black in hand, all dolled up to the nines! Bring it on!"
Tom Robinson BBC Radio 6:
"Absolutely Charming"

A recent review for 'All Over You' from the Unsigned Band Review:
"It's easy to argue that very few artists effortlessly blend the folksy upbeat sounds of an acoustic guitar with the melancholy melodies of a violin as successfully as this band. They create the most blissful soundscape, over which the female vocals glide naturally with great ease. There are moments where the vocals falter slightly, but on the whole this band bring forth a certain warmth and charm with their music that is so rare these days. The listeners should seize this band with both hands because they truly are a rare find."
Pete Donaldson on "All Over You" (Absolute, ITV2, 4Music)
'A great track all told. If it wasn't so cold outside, I'd get down the park, stick this in my ears and frolic in the long grass.'
