I'm just doing my JOB

If it isn't apparent to you yet...then you are not doing your job of "waking up"! The number one excuse for Tyranny according to Philosopher Stoned magazine - "I'M JUST DOING MY J O B."

This is a complicated issue and it has been causing me great personal anguish. Several generations of my family have served in the American Military. We all swore to uphold the Constitution and protect the American people from threats both foreign and domestic. We are facing another one of those threats... This one is domestic.

America was founded as a Constitutional Democracy and we have all grown up believing we were the privileged members of "The Land of the Free",  the greatest country on this earth.

It appears that there are political forces that desire to restrain the freedom of the American People. On the surface they are doing this for our benefit in order to restrain the activities of terrorists, or at least that is the reason that they give us.

My questions to all of you are these:

Do we wish to sacrifice the basic freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution in order to deal more harshly with these terrorists and extract information forcibly when we apprehend them or are the Constitutional freedoms of hundreds of millions of Americans more important than the isolated awful events these criminals cause.

Are we a society of Law and a Bastian of Civil Rights?

Do we wish to remain the Moral Leaders of the Free World?

Or for the sake of expediency, do we sacrifice our civil rights in order to apprehend a few criminals?

Personally, I would rather live free and accept some danger than to allow my Constitutional Rights to be diminished: I cannot accept the provisions of S.1867 1031 and 1032

We are still a free people and it is up to us to decide if this new legislation is something desirable. Learn what you can. Make up your own mind. Contact your legislators if you oppose this issue. There is not much time left for us to act.
