Ethan Siegel, Ph.D.
About Ethan
Ethan fell in love with learning about how and why the Universe works the way it does at a very young age, and has spent his entire adult life pursuing that end. He received his B.A. in Physics, Classics, and the Integrated Science Program from Northwestern in 2000, and his Ph.D. in theoretical cosmology from Florida in 2006. He has a myriad of scientific publications and has been doing science writing since January, 2008.
He has held numerous jobs, including as a high school teacher, University instructor, and research scientist before moving to Portland, OR, where he taught at University of Portland before starting his current job.
His passion is for sharing his knowledge of the world with others and learning more about it for himself. He can currently be found Professing at Lewis & Clark College, writing here at ScienceBlogs, and renovating an old school bus into an off-grid mobile home. He is available for talks, seminars and conferences.
His current hobbies include writing, cooking, acrobatics, hiking/backpacking, guitar playing, and simply looking up. He is married to a fantastic woman named Jamie, and they have a dog together, Cordelia.
