Ellis Clark
Founding member and lead singer for the bands Epicycle and Social Act. Now working on his career as solo artist with a full length album release due out later this year on CAUdog Records. Ellis Clark works closely with Chicago Acoustic Underground.
He has acted as producer for albums by such artists as The Chamber Strings, Kevin Tihista, the late Nikki Sudden, Brian Walker, Jane Thatcher, Goodbye Home, Le Concorde, June & The Exitwounds, The West End Jazz Band and many many more. He is also the lead guitarist for The Handcuffs whose music has been heard on many hit TV shows and have recently released their third album.
Ellis Clark once appeared on Starsearch and was signed as a songwriter to Paramount Pictures publishing division Famous Music. He has shared the bill with Nine Inch Nails, UB40, The Neville Brothers, Glenn Tilbrook/Squeeze, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Plimsouls, Dave Davies/Kinks. He has the opportunity to work with Crystal Bowersox/American Idol, Jeff Tweedy/Wilco and John Ashton/The Psychedelic Furs. He performs with The Handcuffs and his own band on a fairly regular basis in the Chicago area and on occasion has made live appearances in New York and Los Angeles.
